On the 22nd, Tesla, a major US electric vehicle manufacturer, announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2025 (January to March).

It also released documents submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in which it reported that it held 11,509 BTC of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) as of the end of March 2025, the same as at the end of December 2024. According to various data sites, this holding is equivalent to $1 billion (approximately 155 billion yen) at the time of writing this article.

Tesla's Bitcoin holdings are attracting attention from cryptocurrency investors, as well as those of Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) and others. The company first purchased Bitcoin in 2021...
