Aiming to popularize stablecoins, PayPal plans to launch 3.7% annualized yield service for PYUSD

US users to receive yield

Payment giant PayPal announced a new loyalty program, "PYUSD1," for its proprietary stablecoin PayPal USD (PYUSD) on the 23rd.

US users will be able to earn 3.7% annualized rewards by holding PYUSD in their PayPal or Venmo wallets. The program is scheduled to be available in the summer of 2025.

Note that this interest rate is the expected rate at the start of the program, and PayPal reserves the right to change the PYUSD reward rate at any time.
