Mercari adds XRP as third cryptocurrency to its cryptocurrency trading service

The third stock after ETH

Mercoin, a subsidiary of Mercari Inc. that provides cryptocurrency-related services, announced that it will begin handling XRP from April 24th. XRP can be purchased from 1 yen using bank recharge balances, Mercari sales (Merpay balance), and Mercari points, and transactions can be started with small amounts, just like existing Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Mercoin launched its Bitcoin (BTC) trading service in March 2023, and added Ethereum (ETH) handling in May 2024. In December 2024, about 1 year and 9 months after the launch, the number of users exceeded 3 million, and the number of new cryptocurrency account openings in 2024...
