Ethereum Eyes DeFi Enhancement with New Cross-Chain Standard Proposal

Two New Token Standards

Developers of the cryptocurrency Ethereum (ETH) are proposing to introduce two new token standards, ERC-7930 and ERC-7828, aimed at enhancing blockchain interoperability.

They are seeking community feedback with a goal of reaching final approval by May 9.

The proposal was announced on the 1st by 'Wonderland', a group developing the Ethereum DeFi (Decentralized Finance) ecosystem. It is expected by the community to boost the functionality of DeFi protocols and stimulate the flow of funds.
