Is a Bitcoin Purchase Possible?

Arthur Hayes, former CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange BitMEX, opined in a recent interview released on the 2nd, that it seems unlikely the United States government would purchase Bitcoin (BTC) as a strategic reserve.

While Hayes expressed little interest in the reserve's movements, he pointed out that the only way the US, a fiscal deficit country, could hold strategic reserves is by not selling the seized Bitcoin.

He continued to state that it doesn't seem politically feasible for an elected official to declare money printing for the purpose of buying Bitcoin.
