Market stagnation through March leads to decline in trading volume

Coinbase, a US cryptocurrency exchange, reported its financial results for the first quarter of this year on the 8th. Revenue was $2 billion and earnings per share was $0.24, both below expectations. However, the stock price rose 0.7% over the past five days due to the rise in Bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies.

The market was strong in the October-December quarter due to Trump's reelection as US president, but the market has been sluggish since then, which has affected the results.

Earnings per share were $0.24, below analysts' prior expectations of $1.93. Total revenue was $2 billion (about 290 billion yen), below the expected $2.12 billion...
