Sony, Bandai Namco, and Gaudiy raise 10 billion yen to accelerate overseas expansion of Japanese IP

On the 8th, Sony Group, Bandai Namco Holdings (BNHD), and Gaudiy launched a strategic partnership in the entertainment and technology fields. Gaudiy has raised a total of 10 billion yen in funding, with Sony and Bandai Namco as underwriters.

This collaboration has five key themes. In terms of global expansion, it will accelerate the overseas expansion of Japanese IP by linking platforms such as Crunchyroll and MyAnimeList. Support for the development of the next generation of creators, linking the data assets of each company, building an ecosystem using blockchain technology, and researching and developing generative AI technology.
