Holding Virtual Currencies for Investment Purposes

Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase, a US cryptocurrency exchange, revealed on the 9th that he has considered adopting Bitcoin (BTC) as a financial asset in the past.

Armstrong stated that there was a moment during the past 12 years when he considered 'whether he should invest 80% of the balance sheet into virtual currencies, especially Bitcoin'. However, he eventually gave up considering risks that could negatively affect the cash flow of the startup.

Also, the company's CFO, Alesia Haas, seems to be competing with customers investing in virtual currencies...
