At the major conference Consensus 2025, Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano (ADA), revealed plans for the 'Glacier Drop', which aims to distribute a new token from Cardano's privacy-focused sidechain 'Midnight' to approximately 37 million wallets across eight blockchains, in a bid to bridge divides within the cryptocurrency community. According to CoinDesk, the Glacier Drop will distribute 'NIGHT' governance tokens and 'DUST' transaction tokens.
