Bitcoin Long-Term Holdings Reach 14.37 Million BTC, Yet Profit-Taking Intensifies, Analysts Say

On June 15, Cryptoquant analyst Carmelo Alemán highlighted that Bitcoin (BTC) long-term holders (LTH) significantly increased their profit-taking from March to May. The Spent Output Profit Ratio (SOPR) escalated from 1.3273 on March 12 to 2.27409 by May 13, marking a 71.33% rise, which indicates a substantial expansion in profits derived from the sale of held BTC. As of May 13, the average return for LTHs reached 227.41%, turning a $50,000 investment into approximately $113,705, and profits ballooned to about $64,000.
