Texas House Passes Bitcoin Reserve Fund Bill SB21, Awaiting Further Senate Approval

If Signed, Investment Could Scale to Tens of Millions of Dollars

On the 22nd, the Texas State House overwhelmingly passed Senate Bill 21 (SB21), which authorizes the establishment of a Bitcoin (BTC) reserve fund by the state government. However, to incorporate amendments approved by the House, the bill requires re-approval by the Senate. Once signed by Governor Greg Abbott, the bill is expected to pass, positioning Texas as the third state in the U.S. to hold a Bitcoin reserve fund, following New Hampshire and Arizona.
