Addressing the Crisis in Cashless Societies

Ethereum (ETH) co-founder Vitalik Buterin, on the 25th, mentioned the potential of Ethereum to serve as an alternative when centralized digital payment systems face a crisis.

For this to be feasible, Ethereum must possess sufficient resilience and privacy, he continued. Buterin made these remarks referencing an article published on March 16th by The Guardian.

The article discussed how Sweden, once seen as a global model for cashless adoption, now recommends keeping cash on hand as a viable payment option in times of crisis...
