Proof of Reserves Considered a Bad Idea

At a related event of the 'Bitcoin 2025' conference, Michael Saylor, chairman of Strategy Corp (formerly MicroStrategy), stated that publishing the company's on-chain proof of reserves (Proof of Reserves) is a 'bad idea'.

Saylor pointed out that making asset proofs public poses a security risk. Additionally, he explained that asset proofs that do not include liabilities provide an insufficient assessment of a company's financial health.

Saylor's remarks came in response to inquiries about whether Strategy Corp had plans to publish on-chain proof of reserves at the Bitcoin 202...
