Ethereum Foundation May Fully Shift from ETH Sales to DeFi Operations for Funding

Shift from Ethereum Sales?

On the 29th, Stani Kulechov, founder of the decentralized finance (DeFi) liquidity protocol 'Aave', posted on X that the Ethereum Foundation is borrowing the US dollar stablecoin 'GHO' from Aave. Not only is the Foundation supplying Ethereum (ETH) to Aave, but it is also engaging in borrowing, thereby circulating funds. The Ethereum Foundation has previously been criticized for selling Ethereum to cover operational costs, and there are indications that it might be fully transitioning its funding strategies from direct sales to DeFi operations.
