Malicious Contracts as Delegates

Cryptocurrency trading firm Wintermute issued a warning on the 31st about the risks posed by EIP-7702 included in the recent 'Pectra' upgrade of Ethereum (ETH).

While no incidents have been reported yet, users need to exercise caution when using EIP-7702 for delegation.

Specifically, over 80% of the delegations facilitated by EIP-7702 were found to be assigned to malicious contracts.

Wintermute pointed out that these contracts could potentially siphon funds from unprotected wallets...
