U.S. Military Officials Partially Support Bitcoin Legislation, Emphasizes Senator Lummis

"Bitcoin Can Aid National Defense"

U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis spoke at the major conference 'Bitcoin 2025', discussing legislation related to Bitcoin (BTC) reserves among other topics.

She mentioned that part of the U.S. military supports her bill aiming for the U.S. government to acquire 1 million BTC. Specifically, she stated:

Defense requires strong military capabilities and economic power that surpasses other currencies. China is aiming to dominate both areas. We are in the midst of an economic war while simultaneously strengthening our military defenses.
