Sui's Largest DEX 'Cetus' Recovers Following $220 Million Hack

Cetus Protocol, a decentralized exchange (DEX) operating on the Sui (SUI) and Aptos blockchains, resumed operations on the 8th, fully restoring its functionalities. The platform had been suspended since the theft of approximately $220 million (about 31.9 billion yen) in cryptocurrency assets on the 22nd of last month. According to Cetus, the liquidity of each affected fund pool has recovered from 85% to 99%. The recent hacking exploited a vulnerability in a shared mathematical library used in Cetus's contracts, making a single deposited token appear to be worth millions of dollars.
