Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act to Bolster DeFi, Included in U.S. CLARITY Bill

On October 10, U.S. Representative Tom Emmer and others announced the inclusion of the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act (BRCA) as part of the Digital Asset Market Transparency Bill (CLARITY Bill).

The CLARITY Bill, a bipartisan regulatory bill for the cryptocurrency market, was introduced to the House at the end of May. It primarily seeks to clearly exclude the majority of cryptocurrencies from being defined as securities.
