XRP Ledger Set to Launch EVM-Compatible Sidechain in Q2 2025 | Achieving Interoperability with Ethereum DApps

On June 11, Ripple announced at the 'APEX 2025 Conference' in Singapore that the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible sidechain for the XRP Ledger (XRPL) is set to officially go live in the second quarter of 2025.

With EVM compatibility, the XRPL will be able to seamlessly execute Ethereum-based decentralized applications (DApps) and smart contracts. This enables existing applications developed within the Ethereum ecosystem to operate on the XRPL, significantly reducing the barriers to entry for developers.
