SEC Approves Trump Media's Bitcoin Financial Strategy

Initiating Bitcoin Financial Strategy

On the 13th, Trump Media and Technology Group, operators of the social media platform 'Truth Social', announced that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved the registration statement for their Bitcoin financial strategy.

This approval enables the company to acquire the cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) using the $2.3 billion (approximately 330 billion yen) raised from about 50 institutional investors recently.

The exact amount of Bitcoin to be purchased has not been disclosed, and purchases are discretionary. The funds raised can also be used for general corporate purposes, the company stated.
