Solana-Related Organization SPI Submits Legal Framework Proposal to the U.S. SEC

Towards Realizing Capital Markets

The Solana Policy Institute (SPI), a nonprofit organization advocating for regulatory policies for decentralized networks like Solana (SOL), announced on the 18th that it has submitted a comprehensive legal framework proposal to the Cryptocurrency Task Force of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

In collaboration with partner projects such as Phantom, Orca, and Superstate, the submission primarily requests specific exemptions. The proposal emphasizes the need for the SEC to consider the unique operational models of blockchain infrastructure, which differ significantly from traditional securities intermediaries.
