Record Number of Dormant Bitcoins Over a Decade Old, Could Propel Future Price Increases - Report

According to a report published by Fidelity Digital Assets on the 18th, a historic shift in the supply structure of Bitcoin (BTC) is occurring after the 2024 halving. For the first time, the 'ancient supply' of Bitcoins that have not moved for over ten years has exceeded the daily new issuance amount of 450 BTC, reaching an average of 566 BTC per day. The proportion of this ancient supply is on an increasing trend, with days of decrease remaining under 3%. While the threshold for holders of over five years shows an increase in decrease days to 13%, the strong conviction of long-term holders is impacting the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem.
