On June 30, Ripple announced the launch of the mainnet for its XRP Ledger (XRPL) sidechain, which is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).

This launch marks a significant milestone in efforts to introduce versatile smart contracts into the XRPL ecosystem. With this development, developers can now more easily deploy decentralized applications (dApps) from Ethereum on the XRPL ecosystem.
