Set to Launch in Summer 2026

Germany's largest banking group, Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe (hereafter referred to as Sparkassen), has decided to offer cryptocurrency trading services to individual customers. According to a report by Bloomberg on the 30th, the service will enable trading of multiple cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin and Ethereum. The service is scheduled to start in the summer of 2026. DekaBank, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sparkassen, will manage the cryptocurrency services, and customers will be able to access these services through the Sparkassen app. This decision marks a significant shift from the policy set about three years ago.
