On the 7th, Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter and CEO of Block, announced the launch and commencement of testing for 'Bitchat', a fully decentralized P2P messaging app. This app operates solely on a Bluetooth mesh network, with no need for the internet or central servers. Bitchat enables encrypted, ephemeral communication between nearby devices. As users move, their smartphones form local Bluetooth clusters, relaying messages between devices to extend communication range. Messages are stored only on devices and are deleted by default...
