SharpLink Purchases 10,000 ETH Directly from the Ethereum Foundation

Purchase from the ETH Foundation

Nasdaq-listed SharpLink Gaming (Ticker: SBET) announced on July 11 that it had directly purchased 10,000 ETH from the Ethereum Foundation. The transaction price was $2,572.37 per ETH, totaling approximately $25.7 million (about 3.7 billion JPY), marking a significant investment. The company is an affiliate marketing and iGaming software firm based in Minneapolis.

This acquisition has increased SharpLink's ETH holdings to 215,957 ETH, further expanding its position as the world's second-largest corporate holder of Ethereum. The direct purchase over-the-counter aims to minimize market price impact.
