Coinbase's L2 'Base' Achieves Tenfold Speed Increase

Base Undergoes an Upgrade

The 'Base' project, a Layer 2 (L2) solution for the cryptocurrency Ethereum (ETH), announced on the 16th that its processing speed has increased tenfold.

This improvement was achieved by implementing a feature known as 'Flashblocks' on the mainnet, which had been under testing for some time, thus reducing processing times. This enhancement is expected to benefit use cases requiring fast processing, such as gaming and real-time trading.
