JBA Survey on Cryptocurrency Assets: 84% Intend to Increase Investment if a Separate 20% Tax is Introduced

On July 18, the Japan Blockchain Association (JBA), a general incorporated association, submitted a 'Request for Tax Reform on Cryptocurrency' to the government and simultaneously published the results of a survey conducted to examine the tax system. The survey was conducted from April 24, 2025 (Thursday) to April 25, 2025 (Friday), targeting 1,500 male and female residents of Japan aged between 20 and 60. The gender distribution was 60% male and 40% female, with an average age of 38 years.
