Ark Invests $182 Million in Bitmain Shares to Support Ethereum Financial Strategy

Supporting ETH Treasury Companies?

On July 22, Ark Invest, a US investment management firm led by renowned investor Cathie Wood, announced the acquisition of 4,773,444 common shares (equivalent to $182 million) of Bitmain Immersion Technologies (BMNR). Bitmain revealed plans to allocate the entire net proceeds of $177 million to the purchase of Ethereum (ETH). This investment supports Bitmain's goal of holding 5% of Ethereum. Tom Lee, Chairman of the Board at Bitmain, stated, 'Cathie is a pioneer of exponential investing, having profited early from investments in Tesla, Bitcoin, and AI.'
