US-Based Bakkt to Unfold Multinational Bitcoin Financial Strategy with Acquisition of Shares in a Japanese Listed Company

Bakkt Holdings, a cryptocurrency platform listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: BKKT), announced on the 6th that it has acquired approximately 30% of the shares of Horita Masamasa (TSE: 8105), a company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, from the RIZAP Group. With this acquisition, Bakkt becomes the principal shareholder of Horita Masamasa, aiming to launch a multinational Bitcoin (BTC) financial strategy. Following the completion of the transaction, Philip Lord, representative of Bakkt International, is slated to become the CEO of Horita Masamasa. Concurrently, Horita Masamasa will commence financial investments in Bitcoin and other digital assets, pending shareholder approval to change its corporate name to 'bitcoin.jp'.
