Prominent Investor Peter Thiel Acquires 7.5% of ETHZilla Shares, Stock Price Triples

On Tuesday, the stock price of 180 Life Sciences, which has transitioned from a biotech firm to a cryptocurrency foundation business and renamed to ETHZilla, surged more than threefold. The spike in stock price appears to be driven by Silicon Valley's prominent investor Peter Thiel becoming a shareholder.

According to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Thiel acquired 7.5% of ETHZilla's shares through entities like Founders Fund Growth Management. The company has recently shifted its business model to an ETH financial strategy.

In a statement on the 12th, ETHZilla announced it had purchased 82,186 ETH at an average acquisition price of $3,806.71...
