Developing a Proprietary L1 Chain

Circle, the issuer of the stablecoin 'USDC', announced on the 12th the launch of its own L1 blockchain 'Arc'.

Arc is a blockchain designed for financial services using stablecoins. It plans to roll out a private testnet in the coming weeks, a public testnet in the fall of this year, and a beta version of the mainnet in 2026, aiming to advance the next chapter of financial innovation through stablecoins.

Arc is compatible with Ethereum's Virtual Machine (EVM). It uses USDC for gas fees, and blocks are confirmed within one second...
