U.S. SEC and FRB Heads Declare Shift in Cryptocurrency Regulatory Policy

A Fundamental Shift Announced

On August 20th, at the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium, SEC Chairman Paul Atkins declared a fundamental shift in cryptocurrency regulation. 'This is a new era,' he stated, announcing a complete cessation of the 'regulation by enforcement' approach towards cryptocurrency projects.

Simultaneously, FRB Vice Chair for Supervision Michelle Bowman pointed out that the U.S. central bank is at a 'crossroads.' 'The choice is between embracing innovation to shape the future or risking being left behind,' she said, advocating for a leadership role in financial innovation.
