U.S. Senator Aims to Pass Cryptocurrency Market Clarity Act Within the Year

Timeline to Enactment

Pro-cryptocurrency advocate and U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis (Republican, Wyoming) stated at the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium on the 20th that the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (Clarity Act) is scheduled to be submitted to President Trump by the end of November.

During a discussion with Arjun Sethi, co-CEO of major U.S. exchange Kraken, Lummis outlined the specific timeline expected for the enactment of the Clarity Act, which was passed and approved by the House in July and is currently under review in the Senate.

Following the summer recess, starting September 3, the Senate Banking Committee will begin the amendment process...
