Mainstreaming of Stablecoin Payments Accelerates

On the 27th, payment giant Mastercard announced an expansion of its partnership with leading stablecoin issuer Circle, initiating payment services with stablecoins USDC and EURC in the Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA) region. This marks the first time merchants in the region can utilize stablecoin payments. The new service will see Arab Financial Services and Easy Financial Services as the initial adopters. Both companies will be able to receive payments in Circle's regulated USDC or EURC stablecoins.
