Introducing Tokenized Deposits 'DCJPY'

Japan Post Bank is expected to issue a digital currency 'DCJPY' for its depositors starting in fiscal 2026, as reported by Nikkei on August 31. 'DCJPY' is a tokenized deposit provided by DeCurret DCP, a part of the Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ) group. The bank applies blockchain technology to its deposits, converting them into digital currency. Depositors will be able to use DCJPY to purchase digital securities (ST) and trade digital assets such as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) on the blockchain.
