Hotta Marumasa to Hold Extraordinary General Meeting in Mid-October, Discussing Company Name Change

Phillip Lord, CEO of Hotta Marumasa and President of Bakkt International, announced on X on the 3rd that an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) is scheduled for October 16 to 24. The agenda includes changing the company name to 'Bitcoin Japan Corporation', expanding business objectives, and matters related to major shareholders. 'Japan will lead the Bitcoin era,' he stated. On August 25, at the WebX conference, Mr. Lord explained Hotta Marumasa's plan to transition into a Bitcoin financial company. He lived in Japan from 1999 to 2005 and engaged in trading and investment in the Japanese market until 2013.
