Blockchain Specialized for Payments

On the 5th, Patrick Collison, CEO of American payment giant Stripe, officially announced on platform X that they are supporting the development of the L1 blockchain 'Tempo' designed for payments.

As the use of stablecoins and cryptocurrencies increases through Stripe and its acquisitions such as Bridge and Privy, the need to base these on a new blockchain became apparent. According to the official website, Tempo is currently operating on a private testnet.
