Listing Standards for Cryptocurrency ETFs

Matt Hogan, Chief Investment Officer at cryptocurrency asset management firm Bitwise, indicated on the 15th that the generic rules for cryptocurrency ETF (strictly speaking, ETP) listings, reportedly being drafted by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), could be applied as early as October.

It has been previously reported that the SEC is in the process of establishing generic listing standards for cryptocurrency ETFs. Hogan analyzed that the application of these new rules could lead to the creation of many cryptocurrency spot ETFs.
