Naver Pay Aiming for 'Super App' Transformation

South Korean internet giant Naver is set to integrate cryptocurrency and financial services by acquiring the cryptocurrency exchange Upbit. Following the news, Naver's stock price has surged, bolstering investor expectations for the convergence of fintech and cryptocurrency assets. According to a report by Dong-A Ilbo on the 25th, the acquisition negotiations are centered around a stock swap, with Naver Financial likely to issue new shares in exchange for Dunamu shares. In addition to search and e-commerce, Naver operates the payment service 'Naver Pay.'
