BlackRock Introduces Covered Call Strategy to Bitcoin ETF

BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, has registered the trademark 'iShares Bitcoin Premium ETF' and plans to file an application soon. The firm, managing $12.5 trillion in assets, is planning a new product that generates yield from Bitcoin holdings using a covered call strategy. This new product adopts a method known as the covered call strategy, where it sells call options on the Bitcoin it holds to earn yield. This strategy allows investors to receive regular income from option sales, in exchange for a capped potential on price rises.
