SWIFT Partners with ConsenSys to Develop Blockchain, Over 30 Financial Institutions Participate

On the 29th, the international banking network SWIFT announced the addition of a blockchain-based shared ledger to its technological infrastructure. In collaboration with over 30 global financial institutions, they have begun developing real-time international settlements available 24/7/365 as the initial use case. In this announcement, SWIFT revealed that it is working with ConsenSys to create a conceptual prototype of the ledger.
