Partnership with Japan's Largest Payment Service

PayPay Corporation, which operates the 'PayPay' cashless payment service, has announced the formation of a capital and business alliance with Binance Japan, the Japanese entity of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance. As part of the agreement, PayPay has acquired 40% of Binance Japan’s shares.

With this 40% stake, PayPay becomes the principal shareholder of Binance Japan, thereby gaining significant influence over its management. This includes the dispatch of directors and involvement in key management decisions within the framework of the capital and business alliance, building a substantial cooperative relationship.
