'Trump Shock' Causes Unusual Downturn in Altcoin Market: ATOM Temporarily Plummets to $0.001

Significant Drops in Certain Altcoins

On the evening of the 10th, President Donald Trump's warning of a significant tariff increase on Chinese goods led to an abnormal crash in some altcoins. Cosmos (ATOM) on Binance dramatically fell from the previous day's $4.18 to a temporary low of $0.001, drawing criticism from many traders.

Another top market cap altcoin, SUI, also saw a sharp decline, dropping from $3.7 to $0.5597, an 85% decrease, before recovering to $2.6. Binance issued an official statement explaining that the high volume of market activity had put a significant load on the system, causing delays and display issues for some users.
