Approximately 45 Billion Yen in Settlement from Tether

The Blockchain Recovery Investment Consortium (BRIC) announced on the 14th that Tether has paid approximately 45 billion yen (299.5 million dollars) to the bankruptcy trustee of the Celsius Network. BRIC, a joint venture between GXD Lab and VanEck, reached a settlement in the lawsuit filed in August 2024. The lawsuit was submitted to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, asserting claims related to collateral transfers and liquidations prior to Celsius's bankruptcy filing in July 2022.
