MetaPlanet (3350), listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard, saw its stock price fall to the 400 yen range on October 17. This represents a significant drop from the year-to-date high of approximately 1,900 yen, plunging the company into a state of 'mNAV break (0.89)', where the market value of the company is considered cheap relative to the Bitcoin NAV (Net Asset Value).

What is mNAV?

mNAV = (Market Capitalization + Total Liabilities) ÷ Bitcoin NAV (Market Value of Held BTC). When this value falls below 1, it indicates that the market values the company less than the value of the Bitcoin it holds. Typically, this situation makes it difficult to raise funds through new stock issuance.
