Nick Carter, co-founder of the cryptocurrency data analytics firm CoinMetrics, in his editorial titled 'Bitcoin and the Quantum Issue', points out that quantum computers represent the biggest risk to Bitcoin. 'This issue needs to be addressed urgently and seriously,' he warns.

According to Carter, the editorial published on the 20th is the first in a series on quantum issues, focusing not on quantum computers themselves, but on the cryptographic security of Bitcoin.
