President Trump Nominates Mr. Selig from the SEC Cryptocurrency Task Force as CFTC Chairman

Nomination for CFTC Chairman

According to a report by Bloomberg on the 25th, President Trump has decided to nominate Michael Selig as the chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). This was disclosed by administration officials. Mr. Selig currently serves as a legal advisor on the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) Cryptocurrency Task Force and is an aide to SEC Chairman Paul Atkins. He has been working on aligning the financial and cryptocurrency industry approaches of the SEC and CFTC, and previously was a partner in the asset management division at Wilkie Farr & Gallagher.
