Accelerating the Adoption of AI and Stablecoins

On the 30th, payment giant Mastercard released its third-quarter earnings for 2025, covering July to September. CEO Michael Miebach discussed AI (artificial intelligence) agent-based commerce and stablecoins as new keys to growth.

Net revenue increased by 16.7% year-over-year to $8.602 billion (approximately 1.3 trillion yen). Earnings per share (EPS) were $4.38, surpassing analysts' prior estimates of $4.32. Notably, net revenue from value-added services and solutions increased by 25% year-over-year, or 22% excluding the effects of foreign exchange fluctuations.
