Berachain Network Halts Following Unauthorized Outflow at Balancer

The Berachain Foundation, the organization behind the Ethereum-compatible L1 'Berachain', announced on the 3rd that it has taken measures to mitigate the impact on the Berachain ecosystem following an attack on the decentralized exchange (DEX) Balancer, which resulted in unauthorized asset outflows.

As of the morning of the 4th, when this article was written, the fundamental cause of the unauthorized outflow has not been fully understood. The Berachain Foundation has stated that it might perform a hard fork to forcibly recover the assets if necessary.
